The scientific evidence is mounting that organic foods are nutritionally superior to non-organic foods.

A 2008 review of nearly 100 published studies confirms that organic foods are more nutrient dense, with more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, than their non-organic counterparts.

At the same time, research reveals that the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides in non-organic, chemically based farming over the past 50 years — emphasizing yield or ease of transport — has caused significant nutritional declines in important nutrients in non-organic crops.
