Silken Tofu and Berries Dessert Sauce

This is a great sauce for those who are looking for a dairy alternative, or just a healthy way to use more fresh fruit. Layer it with additional fresh berries or serve it over warm berry pie.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces silken tofu (about 1/2 cup) Add to list
  • 6 strawberries, capped and chopped or 1/3 cup blueberries (you may use frozen fruit for this) Add to list
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla Add to list
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, sifted or 2 tablespoons honey Add to list

These ingredients are:

Preparation

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. If you’d like it a little sweeter, add a bit more powdered sugar or honey.
