Bulk Organic Organic Wild Rice

Wild rice is the seed of an indigenous watergrass.

Preparation: Rinse, drain, and cover 1/2 cup rice with 1 1/2 cups water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cook covered 45-70 minutes, just until kernels puff open. Let rest for a few minutes, and then fluff with a fork before serving.

Yield: about 1 1/2 cup per 1/2 cup uncooked rice.
