I am a mycophile — a mushroom lover. Hunting them is my passion. Whatever I have not yet done in the wild world of mushrooms, I hope to. I also feel good participating in a Pacific Northwest business that has evolved over many decades to become an important component of the rural economy.

Safety alert: Lead in soft vinyl lunchboxes

Choosing healthy foods to pack in your kid’s lunchbox apparently isn’t all you need to consider in providing a healthy lunch. A study by the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) has found many popular soft vinyl lunchboxes contain high levels of lead.
